While completing my education was actively involved in student chapters of professional organizations such as the American Library Association, Special Libraries Association Pacific Chapter, the Society of American Archivists, the Association of Hawai’i Archivists, Hawai’i Library Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution. As a professional, I remain actively involved in the Society of American Archivists, the Society of California Archivists and the Daughters of the American Revolution. These organizations allow me to continually learn new skills, push myself to become familiar with trends in libraries and archives and to give back to the information sciences community.

Growing my skills through continual education.

My participation in professional development includes but is not limited to, webinars, professional conferences, courses for credit/non-credit, attending workshops and poster presentations.

Whether it is a scholarship to attend a workshop, a grant to travel to a professional conference, an award for volunteer acheivements, or monetary scholarships; I work hard to achieve goals in furthering my education, professional development and skills in the archival and information sciences.
