Archives & Special Collections 2018-03-08T08:25:40+00:00

I am passionate about archives and special collections and it shows through my extensive professional experience, internships and volunteer activity in these areas. While attending graduate school, I focused my studies in special collections and archives and spent time volunteering to work in heritage collections at organizations such as the Bishop Museum, the University of Hawai’i, the Hawai’i State Archives & the Library of Congress.

Informing, Connecting & Preserving for the Future.

I have worked in archival, library and museum institutions in the capacity of a volunteer, intern and professional worker where I have assisted with accessioning, preserving and making archival collections available to the public. Some of my skills include following archival best practices in accessioning, book preservation and conservation techniques, digitization, analog audio reformatting, retrieving content from obsolete media, metadata creation, knowledge of archival schema and library ILS, copy cataloging, website design, mobile app creation, use of 3-D printer and implementation of 3-D print projects, digital asset management and object research.

I am a professional archivist and librarian with a reputation for consistency and a high level of proficiency. It is my mission to connect users to collections by preserving content both physically and digitally, thereby it available for research both online and in person.
