As the Graduate Assistant for the UHM Museum Studies Program, I am able to be a part of many exciting exhibits in Hawai’i. One of our most recent projects was setting up a Guide By Cell dial-in interactive for the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa Art Department’s BFA Capstone Exhibit, Pause. For this project, I trained and assisted an undergraduate art student with setting up this Guide By Cell system, which allowed artists to record information about their piece for the exhibit, making the visitor’s experience more meaningful and interactive. It was fun to visit the gallery to see how it all came together and I was impressed by the quality of the pieces. If you are in the area, I encourage you to come the University of Hawai’i campus art gallery to check out their work and experience how Guide By Cell can enhance your exhibit or library collections.
