Kimberly Jackson, archivist and librarian working in collections and organizations throughout Southern California.
I graduated with honors from the University of Hawaii where I earned a MLISc focusing in Archives and Special Collections. Additionally, I hold a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation, a B.A. in Anthropology, an A.A. in Humanities and DAS (Digital Archives Specialist) certification, through the Society of American Archivists.
I work as a General Librarian in a public library system where I provide reference assistance to the general public for Adults, Children and Teens, teach eBook workshops in the Maker-space Studio and assist as an archivist, processing historic collections that include historical newspapers, photographs, artifacts, art, oversized collections, scrapbooks, government publications and more.
I additionally work as an Adjunct Librarian at two local community colleges where I provide reference assistance and instruction to students, faculty and staff.
